Announcing New Training Format for Partners and Customers at Acumatica Summit 2019

Acumatica customers and partners can look forward to Acumatica Summit 2019 continuing it’s yearly trend of supplying a full slate of comprehensive cloud ERP training. However, there is an update: we have a new training format. Don’t worry, we think you’ll like it.

At Acumatica, they are constantly improving their cloud ERP software. This is because they want to provide customers who use it and partners who sell it with the very best cloud ERP solution possible. They also strive to make the annual Summit better every year. And a major part of their  improvement efforts stem from the feedback that they receive from you, their customers and partners. After last year’s annual Summit, you said the training track sessions (which you considered extremely insightful) and the training track format could be made even better to meet the needs of certain members of the Acumatica community. They listened, and  made some updates. The new training format will be introduced at Acumatica Summit 2019, coming January 27-February 1, 2019 in Houston, Texas.

Reminder: if you register for the Summit right now, you can still take advantage of our special early bird pricing.

A variety of training is available in flexible training periods, you can check out Acumatica Summit 2019 by going to their registration website located at:

Acumatica Cloud ERP Best of Summit Anaheim wrap-up

On April 26, 2018 we had the chance to spend some time with the leaders of Acumatica Cloud ERP at their Best of Summit Anaheim event.

This was an Acumatica Customer, Partner and Potential Customer event. We learned about the new features and enhancement to the new Acumatica 2018 R1 version, heard from customers that had very interesting stories of coming off very old systems and implementing Acumatica Cloud ERP. Some very long-term customers and some just recently making the decision to move forward.

Acumatica Cloud ERP now has over 4,000 customers and is continuing to gain much momentum in the ERP space. We look forward to hearing more and please stay tuned. The upcoming 2019 Acumatica Summit will be in Houston Jan 27th though Feb 1st at the Houston Marriott Marquis.

We hope this was helpful. We are very excited about Acumatica Cloud ERP . If you have any questions, please contact us, call 760-618-1395 or email us at info@caserv.com and we will be happy to help.

Acumatica’s recent Summit recap

Acumatica Summit

We recently wrapped up a wonderful week of networking and education at Acumatica Summit in sunny San Diego.  What a fantastic event! Last year when I attended my first Summit I felt like I was drinking from a fire hose.  We were introducing ourselves to a new community of software development partners, getting familiar with the product interface and meeting so many new people.  This year, I was much more relaxed and really felt like I could enjoy the community of Acumatica Partners and the class sessions.

The keynotes shared a wealth of information about the direction cloud deployment is going and leading the pack in many ways is Acumatica ERP.  John Roskill discussed moving to the multi-cloud environment and the importance of having a business system like Acumatica which takes advantage of the multi-cloud world.  Here is a copy of a side John presented in his presentation which shows the multi-cloud products Acumatica integrates with today.

Acumatica Summit

Acumatica’s early and ongoing investment in web services and REST API endpoints has allowed our application and customers to work in the multi- cloud world.  This is very cool technology and is available in the application today.  We had two development partners, Infinity HR and DocuSign both demonstrate how they are able to integrate their applications using the API endpoints.

This is just one example of the many exciting advancements Acumatica customers will be able to take advantage of in the near future.  Acumatica announced the release of version 6.1 at the conference also.  This version includes many features customers have been asking for like, the ability to change the sales order customers, approvals for expense receipts, enhanced warehouse shipper addresses, and increased integration with Power BI.

It is so fun to be involved with a true technology company like Acumatica. I look forward to a successful year and next year’s conference in Nashville Tennessee January 28-31, 2018.

It is November.. Time to Analyze

Repost from WACAcumatica

It’s November, and it means the official start of the busy holiday season. In fact, many retailers depend on holiday shopping as a very large percentage of their main revenue for the year.

This is the time corporations are evaluating revenue projections versus actuals, expenditure budgets, and taxes.

Holiday_3The tool for producing the financial reports needed for evaluations is your business management software, also known as ERP.  Your ERP has diligently recorded every invoice, cash receipt, inventory purchases, vendor invoices and more. Maybe it is time to examine the actual tool itself, and compare its capabilities to what else is out there.

Here’s an easy way to determine your ERP’s, technological generation gap factor. Divide its age by 1.5 (18 months is considered a generation.) For example, if you have not upgraded your system since 2000, you are 10.6 generations behind. To put things into perspective, the first iPhone was introduced in 2007!

WAC Solution Partners, Greater Los Angeles is offering a FREE business management analysis. We delve into the current processes, compare them to similar businesses and best practices, then present the options. Sometimes, there is no real need to upgrade.  There may be an enhancement to the current processes, replacing a manual labor intensive process with a software solution, or designing a custom report. However, if management is considering an upgrade or a replacement of their current system, we are prepared to compare the pros and cons of the different solutions, based on the findings in our analysis.  WAC will then recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution for your business.

Food for Thought:

  1. What is the ROI of replacing your ERP system?
  2. Is the current technology helping you manage your business efficiently?
  3. Are your team members spinning their wheels doing repetitive work that could be replaced by automation?

We are WAC Solution Partners, a national company with offices in 13 major cities. Each one of our consultants and business analysts has a minimum of 20 years experience.

How to Access Rights by Role and Screen for Acumatica Cloud ERP

We would like to thank our business partner Ben Hanan, Business Systems Analyst for providing the detailed descriptions for this blog.

Setting up access by Role simplifies the addition of new users, by associating the account with a Role.

Example: Setting up a new Role: Accounting Clerk with access to Accounts receivable and General Ledger

Add a new Role by going to Configuration>User Roles>Add a Role

blog1

Then, go to:

Configuration >User Security>Access Rights by Role

Pick the Suite that you wish to set:

Revoking an Application will remove the entry from the user’s menu. Granting will allow further drill down.

blog2

Example: The Accounting Clerk Role was Granted access to Accounts Receivable. Drilling down to the Work Area, Processes, Reports, and Configuration it is possible to control access down to a process itself.

blog3

Setting up access by screen:

Select the process. You can control access to a user’s role at the process level

blog4

Default Access Right of a screen is “Inherited” It can be changed to “Revoked”, “Edit”, “View Only”
